How to Enter

Participation in the Luxembourg Sake Challenge offers breweries an opportunity to receive professional international evaluation and introduce their sake to Luxembourg’s gastronomy, media, and cultural community.

All submitted products will be showcased at Japan Life following the judging session, providing opportunities to introduce sake to beverage professionals, buyers, media representatives, and consumers.

Application rules

Eligability Criteria

All producers, distributors, exporters, consultants, and importers of sake.

Types of Products

All categories of sake and Japanese alcoholic beverages are eligible, including Futsushu, Honjozo, Junmai, Ginjo, Junmai Ginjo, Daiginjo, Junmai Daiginjo, Koshu, Umeshu, Yuzushu, Japanese wine, and other Japanese alcoholic beverages.

Alcohol content must be below 20%.

Sample Requirements

Standard submission: 2 × 720ml bottles per entry.

Alternative bottle sizes are accepted provided that:

• Each bottle is less than 1 litre

• Total volume submitted is at least 1,440ml

There is no limit to the number of entries.

59,000 JPY per product

• Bank Transfer (including international remittance services such as Wise)

Entrants are responsible for all service charges incurred during the payment process.

Shipping Information

Shipping instructions will be provided in the automatic confirmation email sent after registration has been completed.

If you are shipping your sake samples from Japan, please follow the shipping instructions provided in the confirmation email.

Entrants are responsible for shipping costs, insurance, and all related shipping expenses.

Customs clearance, VAT, storage fees, and domestic transportation costs within Luxembourg will be covered by the organiser.

Notes

The entry fee is non-refundable once paid. The organiser reserves the right to refuse entries submitted after the deadline. Submitted products will not be returned.
